imageIt was Pope Benedict XV who issued the first Code of Canon Law in 1917 which, among other things, encouraged the private and public exposition of the Holy Eucharist. In 1920 he also canonized St. Margaret Mary Alacoque who's revelations from our Lord about devotion to Jesus's Sacred Heart helped solidify doing a whole hour, called a "Holy Hour", of repratory adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.  Here are some of his quotes on the importance of Eucharistic Adoration in our lives:
